“When no one wants you, you sleep with the aim of not waking up, maybe forever…,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘Goodnight Melika’ has won the award for Best International Short Film at the November-December session of the White Unicorn International Film Festival, which is jointly organized by professional organizations from India, Hong Kong, Italy, and Japan.

The Houston International Film Festival is “the third oldest film festival in North America and the oldest independent film festival in the world”, the event’s website reads.

‍The festival aims to “recognize and honor outstanding creative excellence in film, and to validate brilliant abilities”, among others.‍
